What to Expect

Grace Reformed Baptist Sing

We recognize that visiting a new church can sometimes be overwhelming. No two churches are the same, so it helps to know what to expect when you arrive. We look forward to your visit and want you to feel welcome and at ease. Expect to be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters upon your arrival. If you are a first time visitor they will arrange for you to receive a visitor’s packet. If you do not have a Bible with you or do not own one, just mention this to one of our ushers and they will gladly arrange to give you one as our gift to you.

When are the services?

We meet on Sundays for Sunday School at 9:30 AM, morning worship at 11:00 AM, and evening worship at 5:30 PM. We also meet on Wednesday nights for prayer at 7:15 PM, except on 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, when we meet in small groups.

What is the worship service like?

During our service, we sing several songs, offer prayers to God, listen to Scripture, and give our offerings. The preaching is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to explain the main point of a biblical passage. After the sermon, we take our seats once more for a brief moment of reflection and then sing another song. Following the service, people enjoy sharing informal fellowship and conversation with one another.

Are there Sunday School classes for adults?

We offer adult Equip classes usually ranging in topics from family and parenting, doctrine and theology, and book studies all taught during the academic calendar year. To equip the church, we rotate through a curriculum of twelve courses that teach the “whole counsel of God.”  During the summer all of our adult classes meet together for a topical study. We also offer a separate class for College/Career age young people.

How should I dress?

Please dress comfortably. Our congregation is fairly diverse and most forms of dress are represented. We have some who come in jeans and others who wear a suit and tie. However you dress, you will surely not be alone.

What is the music like?

We sing a mixture of traditional hymns and newer praise songs. Our singing is exuberant and we hope you will be uplifted and encouraged to join in our heartfelt worship.

When do the services normally end?

Our Sunday School hour usually ends at 10:30 AM and there is about a 30 minute break before morning worship at 11:00 AM. Our 11:00 AM service usually ends around 12:30 PM. Our evening service which begins at 5:30 PM usually ends around 6:45 PM.
