Local

At Grace we are about loving God, one another, and the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ. In an effort to love our local community in particular, we seek to engage in local missions efforts. Below are listed just a few of our regular local missions opportunities.

SENIOR BREAKFAST

The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.

Senior Breakfast is designed to provide fellowship and spiritual encouragement to the seniors in our church and the surrounding area. Our local seniors are important to us! We love serving them with a special homemade breakfast. We then enjoy a time of special music, followed by a devotional that is encouraging and helps us focus on the Lord and His Word. Prayer requests are also taken from any who would like to share using our prayer cards.

SIDEWALK SUNDAY SCHOOL

Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.

During Sidewalk Sunday School, we aim to share the gospel and build strong relationships with kids at the Supperclub and Tanglewood neighborhoods. Here’s a bit of what this ministry looks like

  • We meet monthly on Sunday afternoons to share a lesson, play games, and enjoy a snack with the kids.
  • We strive to maintain relationships with the kids as they age out of the Sidewalk Sunday School ministry, which is geared towards kids aged 12 and below.
  • We hold a Christmas party each year for the kids usually hosted at GRBC or in someone’s home.
