Over the years we have greatly enjoyed having students at Grace from a number of universities including UNC-Chapel Hill, N.C. State, Duke, Elon, and Alamance Community College. If you are a college student or early career-age young person, we hope you’ll take advantage of some of the special opportunities we have for students here at Grace.
College & Career
College & Career Class
This is a special class designed for our college students and early career-age young people that is taught by a team of teachers. The class meets in one of the rooms in our Sunday School wing every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM. Topics change from year to year, but in the past we’ve considered subjects such as calling and vocation, prayer, the church, spiritual gifts, and various book studies.
Adopt-a-Student Program
This program gives families in the church the opportunity to “adopt-a-student” in order to develop a special and sustained relationship with a student throughout his or her time in college, and often beyond. If you’re a student and interested in pursuing such a relationship with a family in the church, feel free to let someone from our college team know. We also make sign-up sheets available to students.
Social Events
Our college team plans regular social events for college students and career-age young people that usually center around a group activity, a meal together, and a time of testimony. In the past we’ve done picnics, bowling, game nights, etc. These events are usually planned a few weeks in advance and are announced via email and social media.
College & Career Luncheon
Once a month during the academic year, we host a college luncheon for all the college students and career-age young people in our church. This usually takes place immediately following a Sunday morning worship service. The food is fantastic and the fellowship is even better! We hope you’ll stay and join us!
Campus Outreach Elon
Our church has the privilege of partnering with Campus Outreach at Elon University. For the past several years we’ve had a large number of students from Elon attend Grace in connection with the campus ministry. Many of these students are able to take advantage of our adopt-a-student program, in which a family in the church develops a special and sustained relationship with a student throughout his or her time at Elon, and often beyond.
